All Vitamins Benefits

Vitamin A: Vitamin A aids in the growth and repair of body tissues, which helps maintain smooth, soft, disease-free skin. Internally, it helps protect the mucous membranes of the nose, sinuses, lungs, eyelids, mouth, throat, stomach, intestines, vagina and uterus, thereby reducing susceptibility to infection. This protection also aids the mucous membranes in combating the effects of invasive microorganisms and other harmful particles, including air pollutants. Research shows that beta-carotene helps defend the body against some types of cancer.

Vitamin B Complex: The eight B Vitamins function in many different ways to help enzymes carry out thousands of molecular conversions in the body and are therefore known as coenzymes. All B vitamins are water-soluble substances that can be refined from bacteria, yeasts, fungi or molds. The known B-Complex Vitamins are B1, B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 (pyridoxine, pyridoxal, pyridoxmine), B12 (cobalamin), biotin and folic acid (folate, folacin, pteroylglutamin). The grouping of these compounds, under the term B complex is based upon their common source sharing, their close relationship in vegetables and animal tissues and their functional relationships. The B-Complex Vitamins provide the body with energy by aiding in the conversion of carbohydrates to glucose, which the body "burns" to produce energy.

Vitamin C Complex: A primary function of Vitamin C is maintaining collagen, a protein necessary for the formation of connective tissue in skin, ligaments and bones. Vitamin C plays a role in healing wounds and burns because it facilitates the formation of connective tissue in the scar. Cells in the principal walls need collagen to help them expand and contract with the beats of the heart; it is also needed in the capillaries, which are more fragile. Another major role of Vitamin C is as an antioxidant. Vitamin C also aids in forming red blood cells and preventing hemorrhaging.

Vitamin D: Vitamin D can be acquired either by ingestion or by coverage to sunlight. The pre-vitamin form is known as the sunshine vitamin. The pre-vitamin form is found in plant and animal tissue. A unique aspect of Vitamin D is that it functions very much like a hormone and has been referred to as one, as it target organs like the kidneys and intestines. Other target tissues are the brain, pancreas, skin, bones, reproductive organs and some cancer cells. Vitamin E: Vitamin E is composed of a group of mix called tocopherols. Four forms of tocopherol exist in nature including alpha, beta, delta, and gamma. Vitamin E is needed for all forms of oxygen-consuming life forms. It is also an antioxidant, which means it oppose oxidation of substances in the body. The B and C Complex are also protected against oxidation when Vitamin E is present in the digestive tract. It has the capability to unite with oxygen and prevent it from being converted into toxic peroxides. This leaves the red blood cells fully supplied with the pure oxygen that the blood carries to the heart and other organs. Vitamin E is not only an antioxidant; it plays a necessary role in cellular respiration of all muscles, particularly cardiac and skeletal.

Blood Groups and Types

Human blood is grouped into 4 types: A, B, AB, and O. Each letter refers to a kind of antigen, on the surface of red blood cells.

The Rh factor

Each blood type is also grouped by its Rhesus factor. Blood is either Rh positive (Rh+) or Rh negative (Rh-). About 87% of Americans have Rh+ blood.

Rhesus refers to another type of antigen, or protein, on the surface of red blood cells. The name Rhesus comes from Rhesus monkeys, in which the protein was discovered.

Blood types become especially important when a blood transfusion is necessary. In a blood transfusion, a patient must receive a blood type that is well-matched with his or her own blood type—that is, the donated blood must be conventional by the patient's own blood. If the blood types are not compatible, red blood cells will clump together, making clots that can block blood vessel and cause death.

Type O– blood is careful the worldwide donor because it can be donated to people of any blood type. Type AB+ blood is considered the worldwide recipient because people with this type can receive any blood type.

Blood type Percent of Americans with this type Who can receive this type
O+ 37% O+, A+, B+, AB+
O- 6 All blood types
A+ 34 A+, AB+
A- 6 A+, A–, AB+, AB–
B+ 10 B+, AB+
B- 2 B+, B–, AB+, AB–
AB+ 4 AB+
AB- 1 AB+, AB–

Did You Know?

•Certain blood types are more common in certain country. In China, over 99% of the population has Rh+ blood.

•Different kinds of animals have different kinds of blood. Dogs have 4 blood types; cats have 11; cows have about 800.

•Some people think blood type tells about character. Legend has it that Type A is calm and dependable; Type B is creative and excitable; Type AB is thoughtful and emotional; and Type O is a sure leader.

•In Japan, the idea of blood type as personality type is so popular that Japanese ask “What's your blood type?” about as often as Americans ask “What's your sign?”

Teeth whitening tips

Your teeth control the lower third of your face, says New York City dentist Michael APA, D.D.S. Their steady wearing down and shifting with age contributes to the shape of frown lines and the hollow of the cheeks. Tooth decay and loss only worsen these issues.

1. Rinse your mouth after every meal or glass of wine — red or white. White wine has acids that go in the enamel, allowing staining and rotten food particle to penetrate more simply, says New York City dentist and Super smile creator Irwin Smigel, D.D.S. Red, by contrast, creates only superficial staining. But what you eat or drink, a subtle swish and swallow of water right away at the table helps minimize remains, staining, and tooth decay, says Smigel.

2. Chew sugarless gum. As you age, your salivary glands get smaller and produce less saliva, which is a natural antimicrobial that helps avert decay, says Smigel. But gum chewing reticulated the flow.

3. Floss down your gums, not immediately between your teeth. Tablet and bacteria can get stuck in those voids, causing swelling and decay.

4. Ask dentist to check the state of your fillings. Every filling finally has to be replaced, says New York City dentist Marc Lowenbrau, D.D.S. Silver, or amalgam, lasts between 10 and 20 years, so your childhood dental work may be past due for replacement. Fresh filling can help prevent tooth decay and loss — and, down the road, root canals and implant.

5. Consider orthodontics if your teeth have shifted considerably. Your jaw is changing along with your teeth, says APA. Left unchecked, the situation can create a bent looks envisaging or behind-the-teeth braces are the subtlest options for grown-ups.

Your skin is the main organ of your body, and your skin’s anatomy reveal a lot of information about you to the rest of the world.

•Your skin’s color and texture are inherited through heredity, and that provides information about your family history.

•After vigorous exercise, you have a sole scent that is created by your exacting combination of skin care secretion from your sebaceous and sweat glands. Even the amount of perspiration can be different from one person to another.

•The nerves in your skin also help your brain respond to feelings of hot and cold.

•Your skin helps to regulate your body’s temperature by making your pore lesser when it’s cold, and making pores larger when it’s hot.

•Your skin is the armor that helps to protect your secluded system from bacteria and disease.

Here are six steps protect your eyesight

Whenever you take a small break from your daily duties, close your eyes while you rest. Closing your eyes for five minutes all hour can dramatically reduce eye strain, tension headaches, and still fatigue.

•Use a flat panel monitor.

If you use a computer on a regular basis, think getting an LCD monitor. LCD monitors flash far less often than bulky cathode-ray tube monitors, causing less strain to your eyes.

•Eat berries, cherries, and pomegranates.

Blueberries, bilberries, cherries, and pomegranates contain powerful antioxidants that can help to check macular deterioration, one of the most common causes of blindness in the elderly. Berries and cherries are strong with bioflavonoid that can help to make stronger the small blood vessels that provide your eyes and brain tissue with oxygen and nutrients.

•Include DHA in your diet every day.

DHA is a fatty acid that is found in the retina of your eyes. It can actually help to reverse some of the degenerative changes that occur with macular degeneration. The most consistent and healthy source of DHA that I know of is cod liver oil.

•Eat foods that are high in lute in.

Lute in is an antioxidant that can help to check free radical damage that can contribute to problems with your lenses, retinue, optic nerves, optic tracts and an area in the back of your brain that register all that you see. Lute in-rich foods include: kale, collard greens, spinach, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, corn, avocado, and organic egg yolks. It's important to note that lute in is a fat-soluble nutrient, so is best engrossed into your blood in the presence of healthy fats. It most excellent to eat your greens with foods that is rich in healthy fats like avocado, raw nuts, olive oil, coconut oil, organic eggs.
